SEAL COATING

Some benefits of seal coating asphalt include:

  • Reduces long term repair costs.

  • Accelerates melting of snow and ice on  the pavement surface.

  • Protects your pavement from oxidation, oil and chemical spills.

  • Protects against water penetration, rain, frost and snow damage.

  • Enhances the appearance of your building and landscape.

Protecting your driveway or parking lot's curb appeal is just one of the benefits when you seal coat your investment. asphalt seal coating protects from UV rays, rain and snow, and fluids from vehicles. Aside from keeping out damaging elements, properly applying a seal coat is important to extend the life of asphalt paving and should be done every two  years.

Asphalt is a petroleum-based product, other petroleum products may react with the surface. This includes vehicle oil and gasoline. The seal coat may act as a temporary barrier against those materials. A seal coat is not a crack-filling agent; this must be done prior to applying the seal coat. Seal coating may reduce the friction or anti-skid properties associated with the exposed aggregates in asphalt.

PATCHING

Damaged asphalt can be a safety concern that could lead to a lawsuit on a commercial property. For residential it can be a real inconvenience to drive through or around the damaged area as well.

CRACK FILLING

Hot tar is applied for crack and joint sealant. When melted and properly applied it forms a resilient crack sealant for asphalt. It never gets hard, it contracts with the asphalt through the season's not allowing the asphalt to further separate.

STRIPING

Stripping doesn't just add curb appeal to your parking lot, it allows for proper traffic flow and a safer parking environment.

Paving

Asphalt is used on 94% of roads in the US and there’s good reason! It can expand and contract in temperature changes where as concrete cannot. This leads to cracking! Price compared, asphalt is cheaper than concrete AND the maintenance is cost efficient. If maintained properly, it can last up to 20 years.
